Brown widow pics

I went on my patio to check on some of the critters and found these two ladys.
I was taking pictures of one and turned around to find the other.

Nice! I've only ever seen those in Florida. I wonder if some black widows just evolved lighter to avoid collecting so much heat from the Florida sun?

Crotalus Ruber Keith is on a distinguished road
I live in San Diego and I'm so happy there are no black widows in my neighborhood. I'm sure they're near by, but I haven't seen one around the house or bar-b-que since I moved in 3 years ago. I HATE black widows. Give me the heebieee jeebieees. YUK!

I remember one summer I walked around my parents' pool cage and killed 15 black and brown widows with in 5 minutes.

It is no secret that I am extremely afraid of spiders, especially black/brown widows. I am so scared that I would need something about 5 or 6 feet long to kill them.

im not scared, but i dont like them ...... or any spider, and most insects..! but how dangerious are they really?
