Need ID please (Spider)

It's some kind of orb web spider and it's anything BUT rare around here. In fact, they are everywhere. I have to walk through 3 or 4 big webs if I need to get to my car on any given fall night lol. Anyway...I've alwaysheard them called and have myself also called them garden spiders...but there are just too many species of bugs in Georgia to go digging through looking for an exact ssp. The poor little thing is missing a rear leg but seems to be doing ok. She's gonna be missing more than that if Megan notices her on our front porch lol.

Isn't that a weird dynamic? I take spiders outside rather than killing them. Eveyone else in my house kills them on sight. Funny thing is, they kinda creep me out too, but they serve a purpose and I don't mind sharing my space with them....kinda. LOL

*edited to say: sorry I can't help with the ID on this girl. (how do you know that? Abdomen size?)
