Doesn't seem likely you'd find them unless someone is captive breeding them. I am not aware of anyone doing so. I know they are protected in CA, so they won't come from there - but I don't think they are protected in AZ, but they're still not easy to come by. Don't hold your breath.

hey there, 'bufotoxin'! i know that if i lived south of the border, i would definetly just head on down to az. in may to collect em for myself! and if you do, maybe you can send some venom my way, huh?!!? if it is venom you are after, i can direct you to another source for dmt, and/or NN 5-meo dmt. go to www.jlf.com, and there, you can order plants that contain the mighty alkaloids we so cherish. Phalaris species that are available through jlf are your best bet , but there are several others as well. i won't get into it here, as i just realized that you might not give a hoot about dmt. if you do, though, it is quite simple to look up more info online. or e-mail me if you like - thegoodkingnado@yahoo.ca - and i can give you more info. you should be aware, though, that bufotoxin, or bufotenine and related alkaloids are not the ones we are after, but the aforementioned DMT, and NN 5-MEO DMT.i hope this helps! and git yer arse down to arizona, boy! see yuh!... ty

i found out recently from a friend who was living in arizona until about 8 months ago that the monsoons haven't been hitting with any normality in recent uears. the last time he did manage to find any toads was 4 years ago. i mean, this obviously could change at any time, any year. it may just be a regular cycle of weather patterns, i don't know. my friend is not a real herp guy or anything, so he may not have known where and when to look during drier years, as i would guess that even if they got one or two days of not so heavy rain, the toads would likely still take advantage of any moisture they could and come to the surface for even a light rainfall to replenish their moisture supply. i'm sure they can sense the rain well before it falls, and be there waiting for it, as i said, to take advantage of what might just be the only rain they will get for many months. in this case, you would probably have to be living right in or around bisbee or in the sonoran desert, so that when the rain does come, you can hop in your car and start searching. anyhow, just thought i'd let you know what i heard about the monsoons, is all... ciao then
