I know I can look it up on the interent and find this out, but I like to hear from people with experience on this. I have none with amphibians... What is the best substrate? I went to a zoo and see that they had they're cage soaked with water. Maybe it just went thru it's auto spray cycle but it was a very wet environment. I spray a lot because of this. I know they eat pretty much anything so I'm all set there. I feed him daily. Is there a way to tell the sex on them by there ear drums? <----(Per say)
Maybe some of you have pictures of your setups and would like to share. Thanks in advance.

Well, from what I read, peat moss mixed with bed-a-beast (or something similar) makes for a good substrate. You could set up some sort of a branch for perching on, and a plant or two. I also read about some people who use a slab of cork bark leaning up against the back wall under a night light, and this sets up a gradient that allows the frog to thermoregulate by allowing it to choose how far it wants to sit from the light. Then, the dark space between the back wall and the cork allows the frog a dark place to hide and sleep during the day. That's how I am thinking of setting up the cage if I ever get one.

I don't use any substrate at the bottom, and wouldn't unless I was setting up a full vivarium. Frogs are notorious for getting stuff stuck in their mouth, especially these ravenous little guys. Not to mention, stuck all over their skin - not much fun to have a pet constantly covered in crud.

I use a 10 gallon tall, I keep a white's and a big-eyed tree frog in it. Large water dish at the bottom, several branches with fake leaves on them. Both frogs are pretty active, croaking every night.

You can see both frogs in the pic, and my beardie in the cage behind wondering why I'm taking silly pictures instead of feeding him.
