FROGS EAT MICE??????
Holy smokes!!!! I know next to nothing about frogs, but would have assumed pinkies maybe, but mice mice? wow, that is amazing.
I would always suggest feeding F/T unless there is a valid reason you can't. I have owned snakes that would only eat live, and I had to risk getting bit myself to try to ensure the snake doesn't get bit, I have had mice and rat bites on me, I have a snake lunge for the mouse (which had hopped on top of the snake's back and the snake totally miss the mouse end up bitting itself and lodging fangs into scales (try dealing with that when a snake is in feed mode...) just too much can go wrong.
If it doesn't bother you to feed live, then why not do it yourself. Instead of heading to McDonalds, head out to the local farmer and jump on the back of a cow and sink your teeth into it.

Re: Feeding Live, yes or no.
Scott, these frogs have been known to eat snakes and rodents ...and each other in the wild. IMO, feeding live is feeding live. It doesn't matter whether we're talking about frogs, snakes, fish, dogs, cats, lions, etc.

Joe, I agree wholeheartedly. Just shocked me to see a frog putting down a mouse that size! pretty cool. Plus the fact that I would think a frog would have a terrible time trying to kill one of them...but maybe I am still underestimating the froggies!

I do have issues with the concept of feeding live rodents to any animal unless they will refuse and die of starvation because they will not eat f/t.
But to me, certain other kinds of live food are a non issue. Fruit flies fed live to tiny frogs, daphnia fed live to tropical fish, mealworms fed live to lizards, all of those do not raise the same kind of issues as rodents.

Re: Feeding Live, yes or no.
This poll was placed in the amphibian discussion forum to get some input on feeding live to frogs only.

Ed,
I think the full photo of your frog eating the sav you gave it caused much more of a stir than these mice would or that tiny little sav tail shot. LOL.
