I went to South Texas for some herping...

and all I've been finding are toads.

It's been raining the whole time I've been here.

I did see a young banded gecko but it was to fast for me to get a good shot.

Anyways, enjoy.

Maybe someone can help me identify these little guys. I think the last two pics are a spadefoot. I know we have Mexican burrowing toads (Rhinophrynus dorsalis) in Starr County but I doubt that this is one.

Re: I went to South Texas for some herping...

awww look at those chubby little buggers.. too cute

I dont think the last two are spadefoot, but I could be wrong.

I'm thinking maybe Gastrophryne olivacea
maybe?

I have no clue about the other.

Re: I went to South Texas for some herping...

Bufo speciosus, Bufo marinus, Gastrophryne olivacea... my best guess.
