An Unusual Tadpole
Found a couple days ago.
A Leucistic Green Frog (Lithobates clamitans) tadpole with a typical colored specimen.

great find! and great to learn something new. im not much of an amphibian expert. although before we remodeled our house, we had toads/frogs (couldnt tell the difference then, would be able to now if i can spend enough time at home to catch them) but thanks for sharing and GREAT PIX

is mine a normal color for that particular frog? It looked so much lighter than what we usually see...
just curious. I'm not well rounded with info about frogs lol

The coloration of frogs can vary quite a bit. Your frog appears lighter that usual, but is still within the range of normal.

Very interesting! And they are quite adorable too. Nice photo.
We have what we call "Bullfrog" here in Jamaica but I think they are really toads. Not sure. They are quite big. And we have very tiny frogs called "Whistling Frogs".
