i opened this topic to share experiences with monkey frogs owners, i own two monkey frogs (phyllomedusa trinitatus) y think one is a female cuz its bigger than the other one, both emit a chicken-like sound when i grab them, i feed them 2 times in a week, with lots of crickets. now a question, those frogs you buy in the us are farm bred or wild caught??

Hey,

I'm new here, but I love phyllomedusines! Where did you aquire trinitatus??? I will be getting 2 sauvagei tomorrow =) Their skin is very sensitive so I wouldn't handle them a lot and the chicken noise is a distress call. Have any other Monkey frogs?

Hey,

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. Your P. trintitaus are wild caught. If you would tell me where you got them, I may aquire some and try to captive breed them. Sorry for the inconveinance.

Hey,

P. trinitatus look a lot like P. sauvagei (waxy monkey frogs) but they are a few differences. Here is a pic of two of them.....

Hope this helped

Hey everyone,

i didnt post when I got my waxy monkey treefrogs right away, because I wanted to see if they would survive. Well they have survived since returning from the daytona show with a friend. I have 2 females named "Queen" and "The Duchess". When i get some males, they will be "King" and "Duke" They are awesome frogs! Just thought I would share.
