Hey all:

I was wondering if anyone has kept this frog at home. I found a job working with them, and I wanted to get a better idea of their basic husbandry.

Thnnks a lot!!

African Clawed frog...

June, just type in the above in google, there are several good sites out there.

Actually, I just acquired 2 African dwarf frogs last night...they were intended to be prey items, but the snakes weren't interested in them...figures b/c they aren't native species...

Anyway, they are a totally aquatic frog, you can keep them ALMOST like tropical fish...they prefer slightly higher pH than fish and are bottom feedings, they like things like brine shrimp, and bloodworms and do best with water temps near 77 F

I like to fill tubs full of clawed frogs,
then sit in it.
