Nicole, The litter pan on the floor of the cage in the pic is half full of water (there's no slip bath tub cut outs in the bottom for traction). I've never seen him actually soak in it...only poop, and he always hates his baths (which i force him to take at least every few days). He has another water dish (smaller) above on the shelf of his cage. I've never thought to use any other type of substrate(for fear of impaction...he likes to try to eat EVERYTHING). Theres' linolium on the floor, and then there's indoor outdoor carpet on the shelves.
What type of substrate would you reccommend??
