Nice website!
I stumbled onto this site while looking for information on a variety of wildlife for some illustrations I am working on. It's a terrific site and I'm sure that I will be back regularly.
My husband and I have a Mexican Redtail Boa named George. George is very popular, especially with children. He loves kids and gravitates to them whenever they are around. The children in our apartment complex will often come knocking on the door to ask if George can come out and play. If one of us is free, we'll take him out and let him make the rounds from child to child -- which he seems to really love doing -- until it's time to come back in. This coming Friday he's been invited to come to the school where I work to visit the 8th grade biology classes that are doing a study on digestive systems and muscles.
We have a small-press game development and publishing company run from our apartment, and regularly have people over to play or discuss gaming (role playing games). George is a huge hit with one and all. At the moment we're trying to figure out how to get a larger habitat for him that is affordable. Right now he's living in a 4' x 1' x 18" high aquarium, which is not bad but he's 5' long.
He had pneumonia this winter so I was giving him nightly injections of an antibiotic for a couple of months, but he's doing fantastically well now and making up for lost time in the eating department.
I'm glad I found this site and look forward to checking the posting boards often.
