Congratulations on getting such a cool snake!

Yep, mangrove snakes are hot, but their bites do not generally cause more than severe swelling, though one might have more intense reactions to a bite. The bite area swells blue and may require treatment. However, death from mangrove snake bites is unknown. However, mangrove snakes, though displaying quite dramatic defense posture, are generally docile, and are often used by snake charmers.
