Boas and pythons don't really go "off feed" like colubrids xzylum....setup sounds good but what kind of UTH are you using? A vet trip would be a good idea. But don't go without a fecal sample in a baggy. It has to be fresh and moist and not dried up. Just letting you know the vets going to want one ahead of time. This will help him/her eliminate internal parasites. How long have you had him? It very well could be he doesn't feel secure yet. One thing you could do is put the rtb and the pinky rat into a OLD pillowcase and leave it there for a couple hours. A pinky rat won't deliver the lethal blow but when you get to the big boys feed dead so you don't have a dead snake. An adult rat can really mess up an adult snake. None the less if you ever decide to feed live please make sure you watch the snake kill the rat. NEVER DROP A LIVE RAT IN THE TANK AND WALK AWAY!! hehehehehe...you said mittle....how old are you?
