I went out to a small field near my work to take a few pics of the wild prairie dogs that live in the area. Most of these guys were within 100 feet of me. Once I parked my car, they all jumped a little, but calmed down quickly and ignored me.
The little guy on the left seemed to be the one watching out for the whole colony. He didn't seem too concerned about my presence.
When I was in the middle of taking a few more pics of the same prairie dog, this truck just popped up in one of them. Not more than 20 feet behind him is a major 6-lane road. They don't even seem the least bit concerned. Obviously, they're smart enough to avoid the big roads, I've never seen them DOR on any major roads.
