Buying a Beardie

I have wanted one for ever so long, and finally decided that the timing is good, and I might have read enough. Here's my question: I have an opportunity to get a 2yr old beautiful boy for $100, or a show coming up the 18th and getting a baby for around $50. Is it easier to get an adult? And is $100 to much to pay? From what I've read, they only live about 5-7yrs. I don't know what to do, I'm so indecisive.
