Well I spent the money I planned on using for a digital camera on these guys so please excuse the picture quality. My camera and my scanner both suck.

Cay Caulker Boa Constrictor Imperator comes from a small island off the coast of Belize about 100 miles from the Corn Islands, home of the corn island boa. They are a dwarfish form of the BCI which reaches a max length of under 6 feet for females and 4 - 5 feet for males while remaining more slender than other BCI's. They longest known Cay Caulker was a wild caught female that was 70". They are born very small at about 10" - 12" and grow very slowly. The island was hit by a horrible huricane in 1998 which destroyed the island. Bad forest fires are common. Add to that the fact that the natives kill snakes when they see them and you'll understand why it is believed that they no longer exist on the island or are endangered of becoming extinct. The island is tiny and if they are still there they probably have the smallest locality range of all boidea.

The entire F1 generation of about 4-5 snakes is owned by Gus of Riobravoreptiles.com. He obtained them from a researcher who had collected them. He has bred up to the F3 generation from which my pair come.

My male and female are both 19" long and are almost a year old! They were born June '01. These pictures do their color no justice. They have bright white spots in their saddles. Awesome patterns on their sides. Their background is a silvery gray with black speckling. The venter (sp?) is bright white and and anerytheristic blue/gray. They do seem to change color a bit to be more and less contrasting. Their red is not very bright and it is my understanding that alot of Gus's babies have been entirely anerytheristic.

I'm totally in love with these two and I'm so glad I picked them to be my conversion from Ball Pythons to Boas.
