I really hope the snake's "keeper" does face charges. This is a horrible tragedy that stems from pure irresponsibility. I just fear that this will now be the straw that breaks the camel's back with these python ban bills in the works. I'm sure it will be trumpeted as reason #1 why no one will be allowed to keep these animals. Lord help those of us who have these snakes in our families, and care for them responsibly.
