Could be anything at all really. A quick movement, a different color shirt, maybe he just feels like it... my hognose are like that sometimes. If he's getting to maturity age, he's growing up, maybe he's going through some personal changes. Calm handling, and patient retraining is about all you can do... but honestly, isn't it cute when they think they're big and mean?
