To me $48-50k/yr is a boat load! I've been lucky to get $20k/yr sometimes, but that's only 20-30 hours a week. I have a number of zoo keeper friends, some have to work 2 jobs just to make ends meet. One married really well so he's fine working in a zoo while his wife works as an OT in the hospital system.

Ya well that's my life too. Work more spend more. Just can't wait to get outta school and try to do it on my own.
