I think I know the show you are talking about. All of the snakes in that show are much, much larger than a hogg...not to mention that show is WAY overdramatized. There is one story in that entire show of a person that didn't do something completely idiotic getting hurt. He was dealing with a 20+ ft snake that is usually agressive in nature anyway. When you deal with those particular species that is a risk you should be very aware of though. If I remember he worked for a zoo, so I'm sure he knew what the score was.
