Snakes, as a general rule, have two distinct kinds of strikes... A defensive strike and a feeding response strike. It is in their nature to strike quickly and let go as a defensive measure if they feel overly threatened and to strike and hold (and in the case of boas and some other species, constrict) if they think what they are biting is food. There is no such thing as a snak that is "Trying to kill you".
So the answer to your question is No, my hog has never tried to kill me.. and neither has any other snake I have ever encountered either in captivity or in the wild.
