My 10ft female boa eats a 5-6lb rabbit every ten days or so. My 7ft boas eat a 3-4 lb rabbit every 2 weeks. Rabbit pinkies are about the size of a small rat and just as healthy for your snake. Less mess and cheaper. Rat chow $20-$25 for a 50lb bag and rabbit chow is $10 for a 50lb bag. I raise rats also and they are messy. Rabbits are not as clean but take less to clean so it evens out.
