To add a serious note to this thread and draw some attention back to the "How To" forum...

To help escape proof a sliding screen top type cage such as the Critter Cages you can add normal household type weather stripping to the inside edge of the plastic on the front of the sliding screen top. Also make sure that the screws that hold that plastic piece in place are kept tight. A spring type clamp on the back edge of the sliding top will keep it shut tightly.

For the normal lid that sets on the top of the tank a thick piece of foam weather stripping to give a good tight seal between the screen frame and the aquarium will help prevent an escape.
