I noticed Shad has a tort named Speedy to.. Our little sulcatta tort speedy that we got many yrs ago was only just smaller than a tennis ball when we got her and when she went to a new home she was the size alittle bigger than a base ball.. She was such a wonderful tort.. Now after all these yrs who would have thought that she would come back home to us to stay for the rest of her life.. Our good friend and herping bud that had her and many more herps had recently killed himself and his wife didnt care for the critters. so we ended up rescuing what was at the house and giving them good homes.. Low and behold we now have Speedy once again.. Our little girl is now 10 inches shell wise.. she didnt get the normal size she should have been and also needs vitamins and calcium.. Who knows how long she had been in the dark in her cage.. She came home and got a nice long warm soak bath and her shell and her cleaned up, what a mess, poor girl, her nails trimed and shell oiled.. Now shes out in the outdoor pen soaking up the sun rays and having a real blast grazing on the grasses and dandelions.. she can walk a lot better now, i wonder if she remembers us and i wonder if she knows shes now in a loving caring home once again...
