Hi all, my name is Doug. I purchased 2 adult Columbian boas from a shop about 2 months ago. 1 male and 1 female. I was told they are proven breeders. Shortly after I brought them home, I noticed the male had comedown with mites. I immediately took both to my vet for check ups. The vet said he did in fact have mites, and told me what to purchase to treat him. "Provent-a-Mite". Following directions for about three weeks, I no longer noticed any mites. I kept the two of them apart during this time. I have now put them back together in the same tank. Now my female is starting to show odd symptoms. Clogged nostrils, slightly lethargic, and today I noticed a small amount of foam (saliva build-up) at the front of her mouth. She did eat yesterday. Although, it took some coaxing. They are both hand fed pre-kill rats. Can anyone help me with any ideas before I make another vet appt. Thank You.
