hey melis. it took a while for me to reply because i haven't got a computer, and when i do have access to one, i can't always make time to surf and check out forums and the lke. anyhoo, as far as the variety of the tincs i keep, well, i'm just not sure. had i checked it out before sending this reply, i guess i could have had a pretty good guess, but i didn't, and i don't, so i do not know. and while it is true that each species does tend to have thier own personality and disposition, i also have found that with all animals, from spiders to humans, have INDIVIDUAL uniquenesses in thier personalities, along with the many other factors that can influence the behaviour of an animal, like relationships between cagemates, etc... an example would be the 2 E.tricolors i have together, both male, one is far more active, far more vocal, and les frightened of thge giant hands that frequently invade thier environment and remove and replace thier pools and rotting fruit trays. he is actually sometime so brave as to hop up onto said hand and sit there while the hand brings it close to a giant face and eyeball for a close look at his beautiful little frogginess(i am obviously very careful when doing this, not to have him jump off and land 6 feet below on the floor, or whatever. i keep him directly over, and, as much as possible, in his tank, as i can!). ya, hes a cool frog! the other tricolor is probably the second bravest, but i never force them to be held, unless absolutely neccesary, so he doesn't hang out with me like his tiny buddy does. the tincs are whimps, but not particularilly so with human interation. they won't approach the hand, but they don't flee as quickly as the auratus do. they do, however, act quite whimpy when feeding, as though they are afraid of crickets that are too large. the tricolors actually will take larger prey than they!being maybe 1/3 the size, this makes me laugh!lastly, the auratus are extremely frightened of hands, but not so much of the other frogs, or of largeish crickets. and the tank they are in is a 50 gallon long(approx.4'X15"X20"

. ciao!
