We got this big girl in on the last wednesday of June, big cage and everything.
I was hoping she would be up for a home then, but.. as it goes sometimes, they need a little help first....
You can see that she has a rather large cyst on her lower left jaw in the first pic.
The owners went away for the weekend and when they returned, the cyst was there, larger than life. (at least thats the story we got....)

I did a needle probe earlier this weekend on the cyst, to no avail, except a clogged syringe needle.
I also did a check in her mouth to ensure no infection was prevalent inside, which would mean a great chance that the jaw bone would be infected and IO started the rounds of antibiotics on her then as well

To make a long story short, we now have a really ticked off iggy...
Mainly due to this -

That is the cyst, or at least 2/3 of it on a 2x2 pad.
It was rock hard, which to me says it had been growing a little bit longer than just over a weekend.... the rest was still in mush form and was taken out with hemos and flat tweezers.

After getting the cavity cleaned and flushed of the remaining debris, it was closed with steristrips (gonna see how well they hold over the next few days) instead of sutures, which may come later if the strips don't hold up.

Her attitude afterwards was standard "I'm gonna bite and thrash you iggy style!!!" and seems to be doing great, except for the tude, which I hope will go away over the next few days as the pain of the cyst and cutting subside.
Beforehand, she was an absolute doll.
