..just thought I'd post some pics of my group of Bredl's or Centralian carpets. I saw a picture of these carpets in the Firefly Encyclopedia of Reptiles and Amphibians and knew I would find a way to get my hands on them eventually. As I was leaving the Daytona show last year I made one last pass by a friend's table to say "bye" then spotted a pair of Bredl's on his table. Well even though I told myself no more snakes, the price was too good to pass up so they went home with me.
Here's the female right after I got home.
Well fast forward a year, now I have 3.3 from three different lines. My first pair that I got from Daytona were produced by Jay McLear (
Best Boids) in 2005. They are a cross between the Lazik and the Price lines. My female is entering a shed cycle right now so I didn't want to bother her. She's the better looking of the two of this group. Here's some good pics of the male.
My second pair are also 05s. They were produced by Nick Mutton (
Inland Reptile) and from the Price line. These are quite a bit smaller than the first 05 pair I got because they guy I got them from didn't know how to feed carpets. But they are developing very nicely, they should turn out brighter and cleaner than my first pair.
First up is the male
Next here is the female
Lastly I have a pair of the striped phase of the Lazik line. These two are from Shawn Christian, were born in 2007 and growing like weeds.
