Re: Question for the Burm owners.

Interesting question, actually.

On the one hand, there are MANY adult burms that NEED rescuing, though some will probably have pretty bad attitudes.

On the other hand, buying a baby burm is only encouraging the breeding of a snake that shouldn't be (anymore). You are much more likely to get a nice, calm, "well mannered" snake by getting a hatchling but you will not be helping reduce the number of neglected adults and you will be participating in the continuation of breeding projects.

If you could find a baby burm that needs adopting, I say go for that. Otherwise, assuming you are a competent, experienced keeper, adopt an adult.
