I believe science sometimes jumps the gun and publishes ideas with out all the evidence. Much like now they believe many dinosaurs may have been covered in feathers and more bird like than lizard.
So when they believe a prehistoric fish gave live birth or a dinosaur hunted in packs I would really like to know how they come up with this. I am not sure they would bet the house on these claims.
Now in the case of the supercroc preying on fish more than dinosaurs I would say that is a safe bet based on skull structure.
