Re: A good start

I mentioned this elsewhere, but I wanted to see what you thought.

We were thinking of making a 8'x4'x2' for our Yellow Headed Retic soon, and two 6'x2'x2' for our RTB and BRB. We would then stack the largest on bottom, then each of the medium cages on top of each other.
Is it safe to stain the wood to match other furniture furnishings or is stain unsafe for reptiles?

We live in an apartment complex, and although there isn't a rule against snakes, they prefer a two pet limit.. and we have three. We had the idea to place swinging glass doors on the enclosures, and a faux drawer looking wood door infront of the glass door - with each acting seperately from the other. So, when we want them displayed, we can keep the glass door shut and the wood faux drawers/doors open (or off).. and close the faux drawers/doors when we aren't home or anytime we would rather them not be bothered.

So, when both doors are closed, the whole piece together would look like a rather modern dresser to most people.. and hopefully to apartment managers.

Sorry if any of that is confusing.. it might be poorly explained.
