Rosy boa or corn snake?
I've never owned a snake before but I've always wanted one. Working at a pet store, I've been able to learn a fair bit about snake care and I think I'm ready for my first. I've had experiences with corn snakes and they seem like great first-time snakes. They eat well, tend to be sweet, and don't get huge. But my dad says that the only snake I can have in the house (alas, as a poor college student, I'm stuck at home) is a rosy boa. Don't ask why - I think it's a power trip for him or something. Since I don't have any personal experiences with rosies, I'd like some feedback from you guys as to which would be a better first snake. I'd also like if I could get a comparative of the statistics of the two (size, housing/heat/humidity requirements, special needs, etc) as a lot of the information I've gathered seems to vary when it comes to the rosies. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
