I use human heat pads. Get them at Target or whatever. I get mine for $15.95, and thats for this king size. I keep mine on low in the summer and medium in the winter or cool days.
Dont let the tank/cage rest directly on the pad, could cause it to short out. Plus you dont want to heat the glass, you want to heat the air under the glass. I put the tank on a couple 1"x2" boards to raise the tank up over the pad. They work allot better and allot cheaper than reptile specific pads. Also dont put them on high it could burn the snake. Reptile specific pads also need a rheostat on them because they too can burn the snake if run off straight current. Hope this helps
