I've never heard of 500/month in maintenance fees. Perhaps the people she asked misunderstood the question?
When I was looking for a landscaping service for my property, I was quoted $300/month. But I have like, one of the biggest gardens ever created on a steep hill. So the price was more than fair. My father pays $50/month for landscaping and another $50/month for pool service.
I really have a difficult time conceiving this. 170 units? Are they apartments? Townhouses? What kind of property?
Not even my friend that's a millionare and lives on a fully landscaped 2 acre home pays that much in landscaping. The numbers just don't make sense.
