Everyone kept finding most of the snakes, but I managed to find a few. Next year, I'm sitting in front. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img] What I found was:
1 corn snake - hit, but not dead
1 snake that Morti caught (I'll let him tell you about the highlight of our trip himself)
2 green anoles - 1 male, and 1 possibly female...I interrupted courtship activity
Yesterday, we came across these:
1 DOR (dead on road) gravid female black racer, with 3 eggs scattered in the road
1 legless lizard
2 or 3 glass lizards (#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&, these things are fast!)
1 DOR banded water snake
Saturday, we came across:
1 DOR Southern hognose
1 DOR Eastern kingsnake
2 (I think) DOR Black Racers
1 DOR gray rat
1 wolf spider (I think that's what it was)
1 black racer that bolted as soon as we got out of the truck
1 mystery snake Brett saw that disappeared in thin air [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]
On the way home, we saw a DOR Mud Snake, and a DOR Gopher tortoise.
I think that's all of them. It was sad to see so many killed on the road, but what we did find alive and well made it all worth the while.
