As others have said, all my snakes are cool in their own ways, and I like keeping a range of species because it's neat to observe the different personalities and behaviors and quirks they all have.
But as far as favorites go, definitely my carpets. It's a combination of their alert personalities, their looks, and the variety between the different species and subspecies. I love watching their colors and patterns emerge as they grow, I love their killer feeding response, and that head! Just beautiful, awesome snakes all around. And with a much undeserved bad rep, if you ask me. They aren't ball pythons, and I think you have to be just a touch more on guard with them, but that all adds to their appeal IMO. They are far from the frenzied monsters they are sometimes made out to be.
