a competent handler would not take the risk. and it only takes one incompetent or cocky handler to get killed by a 6 foot or 7 foot snakes that the "know" they can handle to furhter fuel the hate toward this hobby, and i prey that you or any of the other people that do it on this board aren't the one that it happens to. people being cautious and not taking risk is what should show people that keepers arent just nut jobs that wanna play with snakes. they are smart people that dont take unneeded risks.
i agree. the only time any of us have let a snake of that size around or necks is when there are alot of people there just in case. i had that snake since it was about 7 weeks old. it was a very tame non aggressive snake. thats not saying it couldnt turn just like any other animal can.

"A competent handler would not take the risk..." you have givin many examples (and pictures with excuses) on incompetence. If you can't handle a 5 footer (even a freakishly strong one) you have no idea what competence is...IMO for your safety you should sell your boids and switch to corn snakes.
