Really! Many average people do think small snakes can be dangerous! .. read about it in your paper, online or at your next city council meeting.. Most
experienced people don't think small snakes are dangerous, that's certainly true.. 6' boas are not dangerous. Or at least they are not on any legitimate list of dangerous pets or wildlife. States that have recently passed laws prohibiting or regulating dangerous snakes like the big pythons have specifically excluded the Boa constrictors.. you want to undo that?

Also... I often see weight figures of 30 or more pounds attributed to people's six foot boas (on this thread also).. to me this is preposterous! But I'm open to new info.. please show photos and proof of 30 pound six foot boas. My two-meter boas are 10-15 pounds!

I'm not arguing about any plan or rule or idea that makes our hobby safer.. I completely disagree that six-foot boas are any threat to the average adult who practices no stunts with their pet.
