There are many, many threads on this site outlining the risks and dangers of feeding live. I would strongly advise against it. Live prey can cause serious damage to your snake (biting, scratching) causing deformities and terrible debilitating scarring..... also has the potential to harbor live bacteria and parasites. I (as I'm sure many others too) highly encourage you to stick to frozen/thawed rats...check out this link:
