Looks like Kevin in on top of things, and I could not agree more. It needs to be checked for internal parasites, this might be the biggest problem this animal has. Colombian tegus are often imported and have a real good chance of having them. I would bet a float would show pinworms; it really needs to have testing done.
As for feeding, Colombian tegus do not eat lettuce, or any plant matter, or fruit. They are meat eaters, and will also eat eggs if given the chance. I would feed pinkies at least three times a week; they will help build him up fast. As for the turkey, we use raw ground turkey; this is found in the frozen food section of your market. Dog food is not good at all, and I do not recommend feeding it. It might even do more harm than good.
Good luck with the little guy, keep us posted.
