Ladies and gentlemen:
This is the TOS of Redtailboa.net:
http://www.redtailboa.net/forums/jus...s-service.html
This is a specific clarification about what is and is not profanity:
Profanity Rule Clarification.
We staff members have been tasked with maintaining order in the forums and the guide we have been given is the TOS. That is the yard-stick by which we must measure if anything is acceptable or unacceptable.
Recently many of you have expressed displeasure with some of the rules and/or how they are being enforced. Let me ad a few more points of clarification:
* We will not let a thread get out of hand when it comes to its negative impact on RTB as a community. A few of you got to experience this one last night. If we feel that nothing positive will be gained from a thread, it is going to be locked or closed. The mods and admins acted properly in those situations.
* Public criticism of our staff is not acceptable. Many of you seem to have issues with our staff. That's fine. Take it up with me or another admin. The admins are BWSmith, Toker, Telefrag, Natas, and myself. We can discuss these concerns with you. What we don't want is for our members to be smearing ANY member of the staff publicly. That is not OK.
* Giving infractions is not fun. It is not something that we enjoy doing. No one is being singled out for infractions... ever. We don't allow stalking of specific individuals by members of our staff. If you feel this is happening to you, tell me. If you feel
I am stalking you for some reason, tell one of the other admins. Simply put - We don't do it... and if we feel like it is going on, it will go very hard on the staff member doing it.
RTB is a great community. It is a fun place where everyone can come to learn about reptiles. Please help us keep it that fun place. Here's how you can help:
1) Follow the TOS.
2) If you do get a warning or an infraction, take it as constructive criticism... It's just us asking you to help us keep this a good place to be
3) If you see something going on that shouldn't, ask a staff member. If the one you ask doesn't take you seriously, ask another. You may not get the answer you want, but you
will get an answer.
4) Chill out on the staff. This is not a paid position and it can be a hard job. Cut us some slack.
Please try to enjoy your stay at RTB and let me know your comments.
