I have been seeing adds on the net for venemoid snakes and have some questions regarding these.
How can you tell you are really getting a venemoid? They are a lot more expensive than hot snakes. Someone could mark it up and misrepresent the snake. What if you bought a venemoid and it turns out to be hot? That's a scary thought. Can these be handled? I mean, they still have fangs. Can't that give you a really nasty puncture? Doesn't the venom help the snake digest a meal? Wouldn't the removal cause eating problems? Does this procedure cause scarring? Does doing this to the snake severely shorten it's lifespan as opposed to one that has not had the procedure done?
I am not trying to cause a stir here. I know this can be a touchy subject. I am just really curious about these and trying to get educated about them.
