Re: Biggest Brat Ever
I'm 22 and all I've ever driven and have been driving is my mom's pickup truck (which I love anyway).
But I think any parent to buy their child a car like that is just stupid. I have heard all too much while in high school of the dumb kids wrecking their cars sometime sooner or later after their parents buy it for them... It's just stupid... wait until they're older and more responsible than that, or make them get a job so they can buy whatever freakin' car they want instead of making a scene and embarrassing the parents like that. It's just stupid.
I'm not complaining if/when my dad will buy me a new truck/car whenever I graduate college. I'll just be happy it gets me the places I need to go and can transport whatever I need it to. I've never had a job (sad i know lol) to work, to buy my own car or whatever... but I'm content right now, I don't need anything, sure I drool over other cars/trucks I wish I could have but I'm happy just driving my mom's truck around, it was the first vehicle I ever drove by myself and I love it even though it's over 20 years old and getting rusty and needs a new paint job... but who cares, it's kept maintained and I care for it, wash it and vacuum it even though I don't own it.
My dad supported my brother through college via a monthly allowance, and he is doing the same for me while also paying my tuition... if I was in any other position and had to pay for my tuition, I wouldn't have most of the critters that I have now... but honestly, the animals such as the turtles only need a couple 3lb boxes of turtle food every few months, etc and it isn't that much, and the snakes food to me, isn't that much for a 6-12 month supply, it's easily saved up, and yet I still am able to buy supplies that I need for myself off of that allowance... Now the baby boas I've sold this year have certainly helped to support my animals. I also have my own bank account, checks, and use a credit card most of the time, BUT I am smart with it and how to use it, and so I am not in any debt at all unlike 90% of students at my college who use credit cards.
If I had to get a job or two to pay for tuition and my own car, I wouldn't complain about it. Besides those expenses I wouldn't have to worry about housing because I'd still be living at home while going to college just 10mins away.
anyway... long rant I know, but. It's just simple... I work hard when I need to, when I have to, and I would not complain about what is given to me.
I didn't watch the video because I knew it would just make me want to beat the crap out of her and her parents.
