Re: Nile
In my years of keeping reptiles I have only seen one snake that rivaled my last water monitor in skidishness. This was a monocle cobra at a shelter that would hiss and strike her cage anytime a person was in viewing distance. The snake could not be on display because of frequently busting open his face attacking the glass. It was kept in a cage with only a few air holes to look out, but every time someone walked in the room it hissed and struck, even if they were no where around the cage. It too, had a hard time keeping food down.
If your monitors put up with people seeing them they were nothing like my water monitor. Now my Blackthroat and savannah are the complete opposite, and are fearless of people.
