Retained eyecaps are more likely to have a crackled or fogged look than denting. Even if it wasn't retained, the skin over the eye can get a crackled look....
Dented eyecaps are from low humidity as the others said. For a 'quick' fix some will wrap the snake's head up (with nose out) in a warm damp towel for a few minutes. It still doesn't beat raising the overall humidity, tho [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] even if it takes a bit longer to notice the improvement.
