He's about 7" with his tail, maybe a bit longer probably and eats like a monster...i feed him floating pellets and live minnows/feeders, only prob with feeders is i have 2 other fish in the tank and he eats all the feeders so they go hungry....moderation Grouch moderation....Very cool fish, actually going to get rid of my fish soon though, my fiance is a crab and says its fish or snakes...so its gonna be snakes....
