It sounds similar to something I have seen just recently for the first time. Does it look like, kind of just a swath of blue color floating deep inside his eye itself? If so, I would guess that yes, the snake is probably blind on that side.
Please understand that this is just a guess. Without seeing it in person, noone can answer with 100% certainty what the problem is. I'd recomend getting the snake checked out by a vet both for its physical well-being in general and to figure out what that might be.
