>>I swear by Black Knight.... BUT I use it as a pre-treatment not as a cure. I treat everything that could hold mites (not including live animals) prior to bringing it past the garage in our house. If it is wood, wood fiber, or porous and is destined for the snake room or a cage I treat it. If it is plastic I wash and soak it first.
>>I saw two tiny white bugs in one cage when I first started using Repti-bark, since then I have been doing the treatment before things come in the house and I have yet to see a single bug in any of the cages!
>>
>>Yes I go overboard but I have never had an outbreak of mites and do not want to have to deal with one!

>>An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
That is how I do it also, anything coming in or going out of the snake room gets a blast first.
props,cages,bags,hooks,tongs,buckets.
Usually followed a few minutes/hours later by a good scrubbing.
I only occasionally use it on live animals, and then, only let the animals have only a few minutes of exposure to it.
But I have never lost any animal as an apparent direct result of using BK.
