Those sliding-top lids are great.. so long as they're closed properly. Friend of mine lost a Taramahura kingsnake with one of those because the lid hadn't been properly clicked shut, and the little bugger managed to squeeze through the tiny little gap at the back of the cage. Unfortunately she never found the snake..
but your best bet would be to clean the house, especially around the immediate area. Check closets, the toes of shoes, little boxes, even something like electronics that have holes big enough to squeeze into. Anything that has a hole, and a nice little 'cave' big enough for the snake to get into, especially along the wall, check it out.. 'cuz snakes'll go anywhere. Make sure you plug any holes under the sink, leading along the water-pipes and whatnot so if she gets into the cupboards she won't be long gone at least..
