Ok Everyone. Time for all the Mid-westerners to come together and show the Georgia contingent that We love them herp every bit as much if not more than they do. Of course the Georgia contingent is always welcome up in Yankee territory.
Reptile fest is coming up April 5-6. It's a great show that The Chicago Herp Society puts on every year. This is not a live animal sale show (although Saturday the 5th there is one about 45 minutes away)

Im already set to have a good amount of my animals there. Also my buddy Rich (pogona31) Will have a large amount of animals there(gonna try to talk him into bringing his new Angolan Python)

All Procedes to the show go directly towards conservation efforts!!!
CHS is highly involved with the Eastern Massasauga project at Carlyle Lake, IL. This is pretty much the LAST stronghold for this species in IL.
Also highly involved with preventing the extiction of an Iguana species I believe the ssp is utilla? spelling unsure.
There is a HUGE wealth of information there. Definately not a boring show, lots of kids activities, and informative seminars.
CHS is one of the largest most repected herp societies in the world.
So Come on out start making your plans now.
